This was the first NCL and the first time leaving out of NY. Overall, although the ship was very large, it was tastefully done and easy to get around. Like any cruise, it had some hits and misses but I can say that Breakaway had more hits. I will start with the misses since there are not that many.

There was a lack of information especially at the port. For example, we were told to go to the end of pier to get the bus to the beach. However, there were numerous buses on all sides of the pier and we walked all around and asked people who were not very helpful. In addition, anyone with any kind of walking disability were subjected to walking very long distances especially to the ferry. NCL does not provide any type of shuttle for anyone so those disabled had great difficulty. I know because I have a torn meniscus and was in extreme pain.

Movies that were shown in the Atrium were titled but with no rating or synopsis. They were also repeated over and over as were the TV programs which were 4 news stations, the Rockettes, a children's program and one movie channel. We viewed Hunger Games 4 times. I think they only had 3 movies that repeated the whole week.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

Nice room, large and comfortable bed. Best feature was the coffee pot. Also loved the 1800 watt hair dryer, good bathroom lighting. Unfortunately, the closet was the worst design and I did not appreciate having my undergarments on shelves instead of drawers.
