This was my first time using NCL to cruise, I normally have taken Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas. My first problem was when we arrived at the Manhattan Terminal they did not offer free refreshments while we wait1ed to board the Breakaway, Royal offers that. So by the time we got boarded from waiting we were tired and hungry. Second problem food at Garden Cafe buffet was disgusting and the food did not get any better through the cruise. The day we got on ship all I had to eat was disgusting roast which I wouldn't want to feed to my cats. This ship is definitely a nickel and dime ship. The bakery on the Breakaway charges people, where Royal gave complementary food 24 hours a day at their bakery. The crew lost people's luggage, so we took our own off the ship. We ended up with paperwork from someone else's stateroom. I found the crew on the Breakaway not as nice as the crew from Royal. We were in handicap accessible which came with a doorbell, and some people who were apparently drunk loved ringing that doorbell in middle of the night and we also had people knocking on our door all hours. When we spoke to guest services they asked my husband if he may have hit the button? Seriously? We were in bed. The crew was not great. Food at O'Sheehan was horrible. And the price rib they offered was not good. Food overall was horrible. Royal Caribbean dining was fantastic. Passengers were rude, my husband who was on scooter and I would wait for elevator and people would come and take elevator and left no roo.m for us so we had to wait for another, people left drinks on floor of elevator. Worst cruise ever. Pretty ship but I wasted all my money. They nickeled and dime us to the end, I arranged for a meet and mingle and slot pull and most didn't even show up. Makes me so mad. I couldn't even get into Rock of Ages and cirque dinner because they were booked so fast. With almost 5000 people they need more shows. If and when we cruse I'll be going Royal...worst cruise ever was August 31 2014 Norwegian Breakaway.

You Need to offer snacks for free at Manhattan terminal, passes me off I spent money on food waiting to board ship...will never ever use norwegian again. And those screaming kids at dinner and on elevators caused me headaches. Parents can you nto control those kids, instead of treating them with snacks you need to discipline them
