We are four ladies all related, experienced cruisers and spent two nights in Vancouver at Sutton Place before boarding Celebrity Century. Sutton Place is a traditional, elegant, very clean hotel, downtown in a convenient location. Take a cab ($40) instead of the worn sky train which costs $9 each person and you still have to take a cab from most stops to a hotel if you have luggage.
Reading reviews before booking Celebrity Century, all four of us wonder why so much negative criticism of this perfectly delightful ship! Yes, she is older, with a few dings, but she is classy and immaculate with a crew that never stops trying for perfection. The dining room and big theater are elegant and the rest of ship is charming; not big, new and flashy. And, YES, we have been on all the Solstice Ships which are newer and fabulous.
We had no problems with classic drink package; we told waiter we had classic package before ordering and all went well; we do, however, tip which always smooths the way all over the planet.
Lots of storage options; room for all our stuff for 2. Not as large as some ships but satisfactory. Big window. Nice size shower. 9th deck, quiet
