We just got off the Getaway and had a wonderful time. Our room was lovely and the bathroom was to die for- you could have fit 3-4 people in our shower and the sink/toilet area had more than enough room for hubby and I to be in there at the same time. Yes people complained about the balcony but you could sit out there, have coffee or read a book- no it wasn't big enough to stretch out on but the rest of the room more than made up for it- There were just two of us so the space was big- we had plenty of room for our clothes with a decent size closet- I brought extra hangers but on this cruise I probably didn't even need them (first time they actually had enough)- the TV was fine, could have been in a better position to view from the bed but hey who goes on a cruise to watch TV anyway- the service from our cabin stewardess, Rosetta was great!! She was so sweet and we had everything we needed. The food was fabulous. We had the dining package and ate in most of the restaurants. I don't think you could go wrong, even my husband who is a vegetarian, not even eating fish did fine. We also purchased the drink package and it was worth every penny for us!

In St. Thomas we ventured to do our own tour by taking a cab to the Red Hook ferry which we rode over to St John, then another cab and we arrived at Truck bay 1 hour before the ship tour and we left after they did. Yes you take a chance but if you plan right you can get back in plenty of time. We walked off the ship at 7:45, caught the 8a ferry and returned to our ship area by 2p with plenty of time- the trip to St.John was so worth it, the snorkeling was wonderful and the beaches had the clearest water. It cost us a fraction of what the tour would have so it's doable! In St Marteen we took the water taxi to Great Bay Boardwalk and got a chair, umbrella and lovely beach for peanuts. We had done the island tours, nude beaches, etc on previous trips. We had a nice afternoon and sampled island fare at restaurants on the beach In Nassau we decided to took the Seahorse catamaran thru the ship and spent the afternoon snorkeling with a group - as we walked back to the ship, off the pier, there is stretch of water between there and the shopping/restaurants. There was a man selling conch salad from his boat for $10 a bowl. He made it fresh as you watched OMG it was was the best- a must in Nassau - All in all it was a great trip and room 10808 was right in the middle between both sets of elevators and quiet with all to offer-
