We are a family of five though we felt our youngest was too little to travel at the time so she stayed with Grandma. So it was me, the wife and two older daughters (5 & 3). I have cruised about 5 times but this was my second cruise with my wife and first as a family. I can honestly say this was a great cruise and a wonderful time.

The Disney Fantasy is the newest ship in the DCL fleet so everything was new and in tip-top shape. Even with that, you always saw crew members cleaning and maintaining the ship everywhere. It is absolutely beautiful. Even though it is heavily themed with Disney all over, it doesn't feel overdone in any way. It is very elegant and the Art Deco design is ageless.

We basically entered the ship with two plans: A) What to do if our DD's loved the Kid's Clubs and didn't want to leave. B) What to do if they didn't/didn't want to stay. On the second day it became clear we would have to go with plan B. They loved the place when we went in for the open house but as soon as the oldest saw us leave, she got a bit scared and we were called back. No worries though, as we planned for this plus the whole purpose of this vacation was to spend time together. And there was plenty for all of us to do.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8C

Perfect for our family of four. The large porthole window was a big hit with our daughters. Large by cruise ship standards. Neve felt crowded
