Sail Date: Aug 2014
Traveled with children

We traveled as a family of 4 on the August 15 sailing from Civitavecchia. Our stateroom was immaculate and well-tended by our reliable and friendly attendant. While we were disappointed by the food and service in the main dining room (waiting >45 minutes for any morsel of food to arrive after we were seated; having the "sommelier" frown at us when we declined to order wine), we did enjoy the cafe on Deck 14 and all the specialty restaurants, especially Qsine and Tuscan Grill. The entertainment was good and we went to all but one shows.

I do wish they'd turn down the volume of the recorded music, especially at the pools. While the pools are small and crowded, our children still enjoyed playing in them.

Of course the Celebrity shore excursions are expensive, but we appreciated that they were well-organized and we felt well looked after. Given that we were towing 2 kids with us, we wanted that layer of security. Unlike other cruises, we did not feel that we were dumped into shopping areas for extended periods with no escape.
