I had the read the reviews and was quite concerned as to what the cruise would be like. We had already had a months trip to Australia earlier in the year and just wanted cheap and cheerful break in the sun. Firstly it was reasonably priced- the cabin ( inside) looked quite austere - with an interesting green bed cover that seem dated, however Nilesh our steward kept the room immaculate and was extremely helpful.

Food seemed to get better as the week progressed, although I prefer waiter service rather than "serve your self'. Waiters were very helpful and tried to engage and there was always a number of officers around who really worked hard to ensure things ran smoothly and provide a welcome into the restaurant. The 'all inclusive' drinks package didn't work for us. I am predominant;y a wine drinker and so upgraded. In my opinion it was well worth it as the wine, fizz and cocktails were very good, in addition the upgrade entitled you to speciality coffees in a number of areas. They were excellent.

Entertainment was good. The cruise director and his deputy were exceptional. They both were totally committed to ensuring you had a good time. The theatre is not particularly good unless you are sat at the front. The Pool was small and sun beds quite limited, however the ports of call were great. Island Escape is a little dated but immaculate. Cleaning is relentless and standards of hygiene extremely high. unfortunately a lady tripped in the theatre before one of the shows and hurt her self quite badly, immediately a team of staff, medical and cleaning came to offer assistance which was very impressive.
