This was my first cruise since the '70s, so I really did not know what to expect.
We were exhausted the first night between flying into Fort Lauderdale, a somewhat tiring boarding process, and our luggage not to our rooms until about 6:00 PM. I concede that there may not be much Carnival can do about it given the size of the ship.
Plenty of lounge/fun spaces around the ship. One more pool would have been nice, but again, on such a large ship, there may be little that can be done. Crew was very friendly. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. No opinion on the food as I have no recent cruises to compare it to. Use the dining rooms if the buffet lines are too long for you.
I would not pick deck six again only because some of the rooms are directly above the music/clubs---that could be aggravating for light sleepers. Otherwise the room was great.
