This was our 7th cruise, usually went 5 days out of Jacksonville, but decided to upgrade to Mexican. The Sunshine rates at the bottom of my list. So many things are wrong for an upgraded cruise. Started off below par and ended awful. I will give them points for the restaurants that you pay extra. Never thought it would be worth the extra cost, but we ate in all three and sushi restaurant, and all were really good especially the Fahrenheit 555 steak house. Was the only good experience I had except being with my wife and family, but more later on that. Second night in dining room it took over 45 minutes to even get our appetizers, and then a bloody piece of fried chicken at the end. Wait staff didn't think it was a big deal. Don't really want to get sick on vacation, just asked if I wanted another. Food was well below any I have had on a Cruise before.

All ports were pretty much like Bahamas or below. Any excursion had a long ride involved or were high priced. Also please check your sailing times carefully, they left my four young adults in Casa Maya. We were lucly the Glory was still there to pick them up. Getting madder by the day after hearing the other side of the story, the story doesn't quite match up with what wewere being told. They had enough time to search through my son's room for his billfold, take it to the other ship, but couldn't go 5 minutes away to the beach they were at. Finally let us know 10 minutes before the Glory left that they had found them, when it turns out they had been on the other ship over an hour. Much more but take the Glory instead, the kids said it was 10 times better and more fun. Forget to mention my son just got back from Afghanistan after 10 months of not seeing him, so the two days we missed with him and his brothers were even harder. Maybe I expect more, but not even a Little peep from Carnival to find out whether my kids got home safe from a different port. If they are just slow and I do hear from them, I will give them their do. I feel some better now.
