Just about perfect

Sail Date: August 2014
Destination: Canary Islands
Embarkation: Southampton
Just returned home from a 12 cruise to the Canary's on board Aurora.

Found the ship to be easy to navigate and clean on the whole but perhaps a little tired and the forthcoming refit is going to be a timely one.

Food was fantastic in all the places we eat and it was a nice surprise when dinning in the Marco Pierre White restaurant to be joined by the man himself who we found very engaging and seemed to have plenty of time for everyone.

Having previously cruised with Royal Caribbean last year my only criticism of P and O would be the requirements on the formal nights with P and O insisting on their formal nights the dress code be extended to all the on board bars except Champions Bar, hence making the majority of the ship out of bounds to passengers who did not wish to be involved in the formal nights. Personally we found this a bit restrictive.

With Royal Caribbean on formal nights only the restaurants required dress of the day with all the usual More drinking places on board being no restricted and in my opinion a much better idea.

On the whole with the Entertainment being a high standed and all staff highly professional the cruise was very enjoyable. Less

Cabin review: D168

Cabin was nice and clean and beds extremely comfy. Not the biggest cabin but then we only tend to sleep there and so more than adequate. Cabin attendant Clifford was excellent and seemed every time we left the cabin even for a couple of minutes he had been in and made sure all was tidy etc.
