My husband and I have been avid ocean cruisers for many years, and decided to try a new cruising experience this year - a river cruise. We chose the above itinerary aboard Avalon Waterways Poetry II because: 1) the itinerary included 2 nights each in Paris and Prague at either end of the cruise, and 2) the vessel was brand new and had panorama windows floor to ceiling for viewing the river and scenery along the way.
There is a very extensive review for this cruise for the 5/14/14 date, so I won't bore you with all the details again.
Here is what we liked and disliked about the experience:
Cabin Review
Outside Stateroom with French Balcony
Great cabin - beautiful bath with huge walk-in shower. Loads of storage. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling patio doors are amazing and can open up completely for a fabulous view. Weather was beautiful in August (high 70s to low 80s). We had one day of rain, the last day in Prague, but the city is easy to navigate and it didn't bother us.
