We were driven to the port from our LI home but a celebrity arranged car service. Since we were in a Celebrity suite it was a perk offered by Celebrity. We entered the terminal and the driver dropped us off and our luggage was taken by a porter. We then were ushered into the terminal area. The terminal is "no frills" but registration was easy and efficient. We went to the Suite area and had no line to register. We then took our customary boarding picture and sat to wait. Coffee, tea, juice , water and cookies were set up on a table in the waiting area. We were greeted by the Michael's club hostess Jolie and the Captains Club hostess, Ashley. At about 11:20, we went on a shuttle bus and were taken to ship to board. Celebrity is now offering suite guests lunch at Normandie boarding day. After lunch, we walking around the ship, then an announcment was made at about 1PM that the cabins were ready-

We went to our cabin. We have been on the ship previously in a CS suite as well as a sky suite. The CS suite on the sixth floor was clean and comfortable. Lots of storage space. My only negative comment is that the furnishings are in dire need of replacement. When we sat on the living room couch, it sunk in . The window shades were off the track, the carpet stained. In addition the bathroom while nice, is tired looking, needs sprucing up. Our butler, Peter introduced himself as did the cabin attendant. They took great care of us during the cruise.

We really enjoyed dining in Qsine. The main dining room was also very good. We also enjoyed Bistro on Five for lunch and dinner and lunch in Normadie. We didn't love the new set up at the buffet. I understand about the health concerns using the baskets, which works well for some types of food- but not all. We enjoyed the grill for burgers and fries. I didn't try it, but heard the pizza was excellent. We loved coffee and desserts in cafe al Bacio daily. My Dh loved the Gelato also. Our favorite watering hole was the Martini Bar. A great place before and after dinner. The bartenders were excellent. We also like the photographers. They took great pictures and always had smiles. We had the unlimited picture/cd package and really got our monies worth. The best value on the ship. We booked online before the cruise and found out we got a great rate. We spent many hours at the adult pool. Loved the quiet- but time for new more comfortable seating- also quiet on the ship as not hearing messages all day announcing activities and sales was great. Didn't eat at the aqua spa cafe- they used to offer fresh made to order fish- no more- at least not on the summit. The grand buffet that used to be on the last sea day has been eliminated per the staff, health reasons. I could see that as people used their hands last year and double dipped on the chocolate fountains- but if they had servers staffing this station, this problem wouldn't happen. Celebrity has also eliminated daily chocolates on the pillows.

Cabin Review

Great location. Easy access to all. Room very comfortable, but needs updating. If you are very short, bathtub difficult to enter and exit.
