We just returned from our 3rd cruise, all with Royal Caribbean. The prior two were 15 years ago so it had been awhile. Overall, very pleased with our cruise. Embarkation in Vancouver very easy. We arrived via a privately booked shuttle service in Vancouver and he suggested dropping our bags early, walk around town and come back to check in after 1 pm and that's what we did. Worked great. We were four couples, all on deck 3; one with window and the rest interior. No complaints about the staterooms. Always clean. We had enough room to put everything away. I asked for extra hangers and got them very quickly. Our stateroom attendant was wonderful.

We had my time dining and I had made reservations months ago for every night and after the first night we requested to have the same wait staff every night. They were wonderful! I would rate the food in the dining room and the windjammer and the park cafe as very good. I just can't imagine keeping so many people happy and well fed. Our waiters brought extra appetizers and main courses every night so we could try some different things. And they always remembered little things like who drank decaf coffee every evening. It's the little things like that that impress me.

I would say the ship overall is a little run down but exceptionally clean. We went to all the shows except the adult comedy show and enjoyed them very much. We are not avid cruisers and are not difficult to please so we had a great time. I would say the only negative was the constant push for the photography and also for the pressure to make reservations at the specialty restaurants. Not sure when we will go on a cruise again but I'm pretty sure we will stay with Royal Caribbean. We really liked the itinerary for this cruise - a day at sea at the beginning and the end. The weather was only nice on the first day and then it poured down rain the rest of the days but everyone made the best of it. We did not do any of the excursions from the ship. We booked on our own. We really liked all the ports, just disappointed with the weather. Getting on and off the boat at each of the ports was very easy.

Cabin Review

We had interior on deck 3 and were very pleased with the stateroom. The beds were a little hard but ok.
