Cutting corners will not work

Oh dear......

What has happened to P&O?

This was our 10th cruise with P&O and they seem to be getting progressively worse every time

Embarkation was quick and easy as always. Cabin ready by 2.00pm.

Like a lot of other passengers we were not happy with the change of ports and the three full days at sea on the homeward leg, its a long way back to Southampton from Ibiza by sea, most of the time is was more power boat racing than cruising!!

There is a very obvious cut back in staff generally, fewer waiters in the clubs and bars, less staff in the buffet restaraunts, even the Cabin Stewards now have extra rooms to service as their numbers have also been cut.

Food in Meridian (Freedom Dining) was ok, not outstanding but perfectly edible, the buffet restaraunt in the evenings was pretty good too, but the breakfast there was appalling, everything was cold, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans, you name it, it was cold. More

Entertainment, poor in general, some venues such as Malabar had nothing on some evenings, not into Strictly stuff so not too bothered about that. Very good comedian, extremeley funny without being crude.

A lot of "entertain yourself" stuff such as Karaoke which was the same people doing the same song over and over again, hats off to them though they had the guts to do it!

A few talented singing acts but overall the standard wasn`t great.

Ports of call were good but six on the trot was a bit much. Love Gibraltar, where else can you buy a litre of whisky for £3.95!!

Our cabin steward seemed to ration sugar for some reason, plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc but sugar? four little sachets seemed to be the limit.

Generally we did enjoy the cruise, but feel standards are slipping and corners being cut, they even have tours of the ship going on when trying to embark, its seems profit is being put before the customer, the staff seem a lot more surly and stressed, probably due to covering more work than they perhaps should be.

You need to address these issues P&O as until its sorted we are cruising elsewhere Less
