Solstice is not jam packed with athletic activities such as a climbing wall one gets on RC. But the indoor solarium is well done for a northern cruise to Alaska.

Service was a little more rigid and standoffish than other cruise lines. Our waiters never anticipated my kids needs which we requested each night such as ketchup. I love the uniqueness of the hors d'oeuvres and would order more than one each night. But ship policy would only allow them to birng one at a time thus drawing out the meal longer, which when traveling with youngsters may be less than ideal.

My favorite food was discovering the breakfast at the solarium. As part of a light and healthy theme, threre was granola and fruit slices all beautifully presented.
