The staff of Vision of the Seas bring out the best in this small ship. It is newly-renovated, so it looks great. But it is small. Oasis of the Seas towered over us in port (three times as large). Those who enjoy a smaller ship will love Vision. The largely Indian dining staff is first-rate. Our cruise director Steve Davis is one of the best in the business. Captain Lis is great. This ship is just run the right way. We got on and off quickly and without a hitch. Everything is run exactly on time.

That said, this is not a "wow" cruise. The food was consistently good but not great. The entertainment was good at times and amateurish at times. There is not a ton to do, so the activities got pretty crowded. But the ship overall did not feel crowded. It just is hard to find those "secret" spots on such a small ship. For those cruisers who enjoy a smaller cruise experience with great service, this is the ship for you. If you want a little more activity and excitement, I would suggest one of the larger RCL ships. We were happy we sailed Vision, but I doubt we will do it again.

Cabin Review

A nice cabin, albeit a little on the small side. It has a "bump" out by the window, but it does not give you any extra usable space. The window sill area is just extra large.
