We have travelled many places, but this was our very first cruise. We've had no desire to travel with 3,000 of "our closest friends". The advertisements of Viking long ships arriving in Budapest hooked us!

We opted to add Prague to our itinerary and are very glad that we did. If we had it to do over again, we would have also added three days in Budapest at the conclusion of our voyage. The hotel in Prague was the Hilton. The service was impeccable!

The Idun was just beautiful and it was immaculately clean.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda

Our cabin had sliding glass doors to a veranda with a table and two chairs. The room was sparkling and clean and beautifully designed and decorated. The planning to get the most efficient use of the space provided was fantastic! The bathroom was roomy enough and the shower floor amazed me. I think that it was heated and it was never slippery, it seemed to dry in an instant! There was plenty of hot water and the water pressure was always very good. The lighting in the bathroom was very good and it was also good in the sleeping area. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows and there was not any noise during the night.
