Cruising Familiy of 4. It was our third cruise in as many years. I have no complaints, just observations over the past 3 years. We were happy just to be there so when I read reviews of people complaing about age and condition of the ship we thought maybe they should try something else. Food was good. Entertainment was good. Our wait staff was excellent as was our room steward. Leigh & Erky were fantastic! On board amenities were good. Our cabin was small when the bed was pulled out for our daughters, but how much time do you really spend in your room any way. the weather was fantastic, not like anyone can control that any way. The seas were calm. The only dificulty was trying to attend the game show that they held at the ice rink there isn't enough room. They should probably add a show.

In 2012 we saild on Carnival Miracle out of NY. In 2013 Carnival Dream out of Port Canaveral and this year Explorere of the seas Port liberty. My observations / comparrisons over the last 3 years are as follows:

Royal Carribean does not hat have towel animals every night at turn down, neither do they have a chocolate on your pillow. Royal Carribean does not have singing waiters in the dinning room. Carnival had them evey night. There were more bar service waiters available around the pool on Carnival. I noticed the best personal service was found on the Miracle the smallest of the three ships. Not that the others were bad, just that it was better on the smaller ship. The pool area on the Carnival dream seem more alive every night to what seemed like later hours. Probably because of the outdoor theater. Royal Carribean had a live band pool side Carnival did not. Free ice cream is open 24 hours on Carnival.

Cabin Review

Small for 4 people when the bed is pulled out. How much time do you spend in here any way. Well kept.
