This cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean was our third Celebrity cruise (two on Silhouette, one on the Reflection), and it was as excellent as the other two were.

I'll begin with the embarkation. We stayed in Venice for three days before the cruise, and took a private water taxi directly from the hotel to the cruise terminal. The additional expense was more than worth it, and bypassed all the complications of the vaparetto's, Piazalle Roma, people mover, etc. In 20 minutes we were at the terminal. The taxi pulled right up to the terminal dock, and the bags were placed on a moving conveyer belt by service people. I'd definitely recommend this.

We were curious about the Venice cruise terminal (after reading some reviews on Cruise Critic), but it was as organized as possible, knowing that 2,900 people were going through the process of boarding.
