Obviously the ship has been updated since some of the previous reviews! Though we have cruised a number of times in the past (with Tauck) and this was our second Silversea cruise, it was certainly our very best experience. Everything from the spacious cabin on the 5th deck to the food and service was outstanding. We are both rather large individuals and were impressed with the size of the shower (!) and the walk-in closet.

We tried the buffet for lunch one time, but preferred to be waited on and so ate our meals in the main dining room and thoroughly enjoyed the exceptional service, the quality of each course and the selection of wines. And yes, sommelier will bring a different wine if you ask. Waiters in the main dining room are the friendliest ever, remembering our names each time we were seated. The same was true of the bartender and waitstaff in the 5th fl. cocktail lounge. Joseph, who served us coffee and tea on the observation lounge in the mornings had an exceptional smile, all day.....when we saw him at lunch and again at dinner in the dining room. He never stopped smiling!
