We went on the North Cape & Summer Solstice cruise in June. We were very disappointed with Princess, we have been with Royal Caribbean and P&O previously and these were much better.
Mini suite was roomy with a good balcony.
Staff were very friendly.
Nightclub, lovely staff and good music. (Loved Jackie and Mahesh - they were the best).
Food was awful in the self service restaurant, plastic plates, mugs and glasses were not very nice to use. The best food was from the Pizzeria. We gave up with breakfast and had room service at least you got a proper glass for the juice and china cups and saucers. Botticelli dining was not great. We had some very small meals of bad quality.
Cheap toiletries in the cabin.
Entertainment was awful. Mercury rising (a Freddie Mercury tribute) was in very poor taste and having it on twice was bad. The only decent entertainment in the theatre was The Macdonald Bros who again were on twice. Thank goodness the nightclub was good.
They take far too many photos, the majority you would never buy. What a waste of all that paper!!!
The TV was not good. On other ships they have on demand TV so you can choose films and programmes. On this ship I watched 5 films partly, some I did not even know the name of it. They had a booklet with channels but they did not coincide with the TV and I ended up watching half of the film and then having to watch the beginning, it was useless.
Bergen, Stavanger and Tromso were great, needed more time in Tromso 7am -1pm is no good. Nothing opens until 10 and Polaria and the Polar Museum were great. Trondheim would be good but it was raining.
Geiranger was a beautiful place, walking to the Fjord centre was lovely.
Going on this cruise has put us off cruising forever, the days at sea were awful luckily Norway is such a lovely place getting off the ship was the best!!!
Great room with covered roof. Poor toiletries, dirty towel and floor on arrival in cabin.
