My sister in law and I joined this cruise on Sunday 22nd June. It was my 11th cruise, but first with Celebrity, having cruised with their sister cruise line RCI, and 1st ever cruise for Catherine, my sis in law. I can honestly say it was the best cruise ship I have been on. We had the balcony/drinks package (which we upgraded to premium) and it was worth every penny. Nothing beats sitting on the balcony watching us dock/ depart from some beautiful ports with a nice cocktail or glass of wine in hand. Our stateroom was fine with plenty of hanging and drawer space,including lots of wee hidden compartments in the bathroom for all your bits and pieces. Another plus was having a shower cabinet instead of a curtain, much better. The two room attendants were lovely and nothing was to much trouble.

We had anytime dining and never had any problem getting a table no matter what time we went down. We just said we were happy to either share or a table for two. It was a good way of meeting a great selection of people from different parts of the world and having good conversations with them . The food was delicious with plenty of choices.

We did most of our excursions through companies we booked through cruise critic and they without exception proved very good. The Godfather Tour in Sicily and Amalfi Coast and Pompeii stand out as did Venice which we did on our own, including the trip on a gondola, which although a bit pricey was worth doing. Read more
