We are novice cruisers (my wife and I had done one before on the Queen Mary 2), though we set our expectations that this would be a more "family friendly" cruise and a different experience. We reserved a room with a balcony, as I am extremely claustrophobic and live watching the ocean. The reservation itself was just over $6k for the room for four people (two adults and two children). I'd read the mixed reviews beforehand and would say most are pretty accurate.

First, the pluses...

* The ship is brand new and the crew does an amazing job keeping it spotless. With over 4,000 guests on the cruise, I was amazed by how clean the corridors and public bathrooms were at all hours of the day. I'm blown away by how efficient their operation is and how quickly staff works to clean up anything.

Cabin Review

The cabin was clean, sufficient in size for a family of four and had all the amenities I would have hoped. We had a great view of Bermuda in port and had great views at night. One of the memories I will take from this trip is the time I spent with my teenage son talking each night on the balcony and looking at the night sky over the ocean.
