We were on the Celebrity Century on the July 13 - 20 cruise to Alaska. The first thing that struck us was how quick and easy embarkation was. We arrived at Canada Place at 11:00 am. We had booked concierge class and the express embarkation promised was just that. No delay whatsoever - there were four of us travelling together and we were all very impressed. Celebrity has a wonderful touch of greeting its guests with Champagne as you board. A pleasant surprise.

Another pleasant surprise was how quickly our rooms were ready. We were able to go to our rooms by 1 pm. The room was very well laid out - lots of cupboard space and a spacious bathroom. The last time we cruised with another cruiseline, my husband couldn't even turn around in the shower - not so on Century. Plenty of room. We asked our stateroom attendant if we could have a bucket of ice everyday with wine glasses. We were never disappointed - Renato and Kumar took excellent care of us. Very helpful.

Dining in the buffet is good at breakfast and lunch. Lots of good options. Eggs Benedict at breakfast was wonderful - and the Pasta Bar at lunch was a hit. But, I must admit, we were disappointed at dinner in the buffet. We went there for dinner one night as we did not want to dress up for the formal. While people in the Main Dining Room were enjoying the Lobster and Beef Tenderloin, the best I could find on the buffet was a stir fry. Very disappointing. We did go to Murano one evening. The service was excellent - the food was excellent, but we found the portions on the small side. The main dining room was excellent. We had select dining, and never had to wait for a table.
