Sail Date: Jul 2014

We had our first cruise on this luxury line starting on 26 July and ending on 2 August. Previously we had done a river cruise with Scenic and expected an even higher standard of food and service given the higher prices.

We were very disappointed that the staff didn't insist on every passenger using the hand sanitizers positioned at the entries to all restaurants, particularly since several passengers and staff had very noticeable coughs, which increased over the 7 days.

The air conditioning system in our suite smelled stale, and the only solution seemed to be spraying air freshener around the room (which worked for 5 minutes).

Cabin Review

Watch out -- this cabin is directly below the pool entertainment area, and reverberates to the sounds of chairs moving around, and the beat of the bass drum every time there is entertainment in the pool area. Great if you're a party animal - but not good if you want to be up early the next morning for an excursion.
