We just returned from a family vacation to the Eastern Caribbean on the Norwegian Getaway. It was my sixth cruise and first with Norwegian . My other cruises have been mostly with Royal Caribbean with the exception of one. I am by no means a picky traveller and would not normally write a review like this however I felt that I needed to share my thoughts about this particular cruise as it was certainly a let down when compared with others I have been on. First the bad :

1.Noise .Very loud wherever you went .Very difficult to find a place that was not being bombarded with loud music or noisy crowds.

2.Pool Area. Horrible. Forget getting a deck chair unless you are up at the crack of dawn .Adult pool area is jammed packed with a very small pool. When busy on sea days it looks like sardines in a can .The children's pool area is extremely dangerous with hoards of unsupervised children running wild .In the kid's Nickelodeon Pool Area I witnessed an adult being knocked over by a sliding out of control kid .The adult suffered a shoulder injury an had to wear a sling for the remainder of the cruise. Because the adult pool is so crowded there were many adults coming to swim in the kid's area. The kid's area was littered with food and kid's were playing with plastic drink cups in the water that if cracked or broken could easily cut someone. The water slides were great but the lineups were long. Overall it was a zoo.

Cabin Review

Small and noisy.
