This was my first cruise and probably my last. Definitely the last on Carnival. Overall, I thought the customer service was greatly lacking. I think someone else had stated that the staff seemed to be going through the motions and that is definitely the case. Our group consisted of my Mom and her husband, my sister with her husband and two sons (10 & 13), me and my two daughters (10 & 13). Me and my daughters like lots of activity. We found we did everything in the first night and half of the next day at sea and then were out of things to do.

Embarkation took us 2 and 1/2 hours in the heat of the day. My mom who has foot problems had to find a seat because it was simply too long to stand. We had planned to eat lunch on the ship so were starving when finally got on board.

The pool as my mom stated at first glance was ridiculously small. Keep in mind there is only ONE on this ship. We got in and "bobbed" the first day and then we were no longer interested. I noticed that there were never many kids in pool until very late since they could not swim or splash because of the people in the pool with drinks. We tried to find lounging chairs to read books but only found one. You need to claim these before breakfast! It would have been greatly helpful if the staff would enforce the rules that if the chair is not being used for 40 minutes, they would remove the towel. The staff on deck seemed only interested in selling drinks.
