This was our 2nd Thomson cruise, having done the Eastern Med on Celebration last year.

This year we chose the Dream doing the Western Med.

The Thomson website is pretty woeful and right up to departure, we were unable to book seats on the plane or put in our EPAI information which they keep asking for.

Cabin Review

The cabin (4001) was a bit small and grubby, but its only for sleeping and showering in so we thought it would be fine. That was until we tried to sleep. The double bed matress had collapsed on one side meaning sleep was near impossible. We complained to reception and were told there was no spare matress on the ship and that it was at capacity so we wouldn't be able to change cabins. After 2 days we were told that the staff had made some "technical adjustments" to the mattress and it should be better. Initially it looked like it was, until my wife laid on the bed to find the collapse had moved to her side of the bed! - yes you've guessed it, they simply turned the mattress over! These things happen - we thought it might be bearable until we could move cabins in the 2nd week......and then came the NOISE!!!!! Avoid this cabin, or any cabins at the front of the ship on level 4 at ALL COSTS! They are level with the side thrusters and the anchor chain, so whether the ship docks or tenders to shore, you cannot escape the noise. We were woken every morning before 7am by this incredible noise and excessive vibrations. It is beyond belief that they let this cabin to paying customers.
