Our family of 11, six adults and five grandchildren ages 13-22 just returned from the Explorer. Although we all had a great time, and thanks to the Captain for avoiding Hurricane Arthur, Royal Caribbean needs help.

The ship which is going into drydock shortly, certainly needs it. The public spaces such as the dining room and promenade are still quite lovely....but the cabins, pool deck, public bathrooms etc are in desperate need.

The staff needs lessons on how to smile and being courteous, which they do lack. I am aware that the customer service desk does get beaten up with complaints, but if you intend to work in this area you need patience and need to be polite to your guests, and surely a smile would go a long way. The few times we needed to approach them, and not for a complaint, they can be somewhat rude.
