This was my third cruise. Second on the Norwegian line. The ship was amazingly impressive. It was very clean, and extremely big. It has lots of shows to see each night but good luck getting reservations. The free one forget, but the paying ones are difficult too. It's like a mall with rooms, you pay to enter into the mall and assume a lot of the amenities are included, but they are not. So you pay to go to the mall then you have to pay for each item you want including almost all of the activities. Bowling $5.00, Bingo, minimum $50.00 to play, Deal or no Deal $20.00 per card. etc. The free stuff like the pool, is great if you get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your seat by putting a towel on it. So one person gets up early it seemed and put towels on 20 seats for their friend who come to the pool at 10 A.M.!!! They really need to monitor this because it is Totally unfair and avoidable if managed correctly. Listen, everyone on the ship is on vacation and this is the last thing they need to deal with. The food was fair. The buffet was the same almost all the time. The theme food nights , like seafood night was awful. Might as well bring your fishing pole because you need to fish the seafood out of the odd mixtures! It's so deceiving! The included restaurants basically have all the same menu and the food just bland. The presentation is great though, and the staff is wonderful and accommodating. It just seemed like the buffet was low budget, no fresh berries,or chocolates, they same old food every day! They need to try to have more accommodations other than great service and help to please the passengers. The puts the drinks as soon as you arrive and nothing is for free! Bring your own case of water you will save a lot on that. The ship sailed so smoothly and if you don't mind lines, okay food and crowded pools it wasn't half bad. The ocean is majestic and the port is beautiful you don't need to book any excursions right outside the ship are plenty of taxi whom will take you anywhere. You can share a cab too and save money. The ship charges you more to book thru them. The horseshoe bay beach gets packed too go very early or after 3 to enjoy it. you can have sit down breakfast at some of the free restaurants and we never made reservations for the free dinner restaurants just go they alway have a table within 10 -20 minutes. Take the glass bottom boat they take you to a beach and you get to snorkel too no crowds.
