I experienced my first cruise ever on the Voyager of the Seas in Feb 06. It was my first year of retirement and I was flying high, or um, sailing fast in this case.

It was by far the most exciting vacation of my life, and I had a lot of them including hitching around Europe for the summer of 1970 as a recent college.

Boarding the ship was the first great experience. I arrived at Miami's airport and the line's officials were there to direct me to the baggage area. They checked my contract and boarded me on a bus to the ship in record breaking time. We all had to wait about an hour to board as they let foreigners go thru immigration first.
