We arrived at the terminal expecting long delays as we had received emailks stating that due to a bought of norovirus on the ship, passengers would be boarding late. At 2pm we were cleared to board and made our way to the horizon buffet on deck 15. It was apparent that the ship had received a deep clean and was looking in good shape. The food in the buffet was varied each day and the choices good. Stilton was available every night and a good selection of meats, turkey etc. Service and food in the restaurants could not be faulted and the staff helpful and attentive.

We booked tours in most ports but did find them expensive compared to previous cruises we had taken with Princess. We were disappointed to find that $12 charges were made for use of shuttle buses for a 5 minute trip into town.

Being Captain Circle Elite members, on arrival in our stateroom we had been given $50 'welcome back' OBC. A complimentary mini bar had been set up and we were given 500 minutes internet time free of charge. During the cruise we made use of the free laundry facility and came home with all our clothes clean and ironed.

Cabin Review

Our cabin was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. We prefer to be midships and found that we were in the ideal position for all onboard venues.
