This was our first cruise and our last. NCL Epic has put us off cruising for ever. Its too big. Its not a ship just a very large barge with a very large hotel on top with and paddles to move from one industrial estate to another. We only managed the Blue Man could not get to any other shows booked up. We were badly received by their rep at the airport who had she looked at her list would have been better placed to make our arrival happy rather than wishing we had stayed at home. The muster was a complete waste of time totally without any proffesional direction ( you would"t stand a chance if it was for real) and if had been in England would certainly have had a Health & Safety problem. On our last day we were awaken at 0300 hours by the tannoy.. "This is the Captain there is an emergency but nothing to worry about" why bother waking passengers if there isn't a concern. Off the ship at 0700 hours and to airport dumped there at around 0800 hours and not able to check in till 1100 hours. Seems like NCL don't care about passengers just rake in the money.

On a good not whilst the food was good we had expected better - breakfast was just a scrum - the staff on board were fantastic. We wish we could say we had a great time but no don't go on the Epic unless you want a smooth ride across the seas. Not like a ship you can't feel movement not an adventure just a disappointing uninteresting cruise. Only Pompeii and the wine tasting at castle were memorable. Sorry but we would have preferred to report more positively but NCL are responsible for putting us off any future cruises.
