Sail Date: Jun 2014

We sailed from Passau to Budapest and stayed a few days extra in Budapest. This ship is great, we had a Stateroom on A Deck with French Balcony which was perfect - even if the ship had verandas we would not have paid extra for this because you only sleep in your cabin, also, unfortunately the Viking ships usually buddy up when berthed. HOWEVER, they turn around and swap places every 7 hours so that everyone gets a chance of a view! The staff on our cruise were brilliant, especially Linda in the restaurant, the excursions were organised to perfection with the exception of Schronbrunn Palace because we were not left enough time to appreciate the gardens. The food was Michelin star quality and wine or beer was plentiful with meals. We would also recommend sailing from Passau because the view sailing in to Budapest at night is wonderful. We stayed at Le Meriden afterwards which was good. i cannot recommend this cruise enough, we were very sad to see Legend sail back to Passau with a new group of passengers!

Cabin Review

The shower/wc kept immaculately clean, small but perfectly ok. the cabin itself has plenty of storage space and suitcases can be kept under the bed. the bed was comfortable and if i had to be picky then we had single quilts each on a king size bed (twins together) - should have been a king size quilt. air conditioning worked perfectly.
