My family and I embarked on the Navigator of the Seas on 6/22/14 for a 7 day cruise that included stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Falmouth, Jamaica. It was our 4th cruise on RC and our 5th overall. We had been to these ports before and did not prebook any excursions as we felt like we had done most of the things that were offered. I did decide after getting on the ship to do a Beginner Scuba excursion in Cozumel. The experience was a good one and I would recommend it for anyone interested.

Our cabin was a Junior suite on deck 10 and was located on the starboard side just aft of amidship. The interior had some update furnishings but was otherwise similar to our previous experience in this cabin-plenty of room for my wife and me. Our two sons had an interior cabin immediately across the hall from us with one of the new updates on this ship- a virtual balcony. This was essentially a large screen hung vertically with a live image of the sea passing by. It really did give the cabin an illusion of bigger space and it was a nice effect. The balcony could be turned off with a remote control. The service given by the cabin attendant was very good and was worthy of an extra gratuity.

The food in the main dining room was good but not great. The service by our main waitress and assistant waitress was exemplary especially considering the extra accommodation given to my wife and son with their gluten intolerance. We did dine together one evening at Giovanni's Table- one of the restaurants that charges a per person surcharge. I must say that my expectations were modest going in to the meal, but I was completely blown away by the superb quality of the food and service in this restaurant. I would rate it as one of the best meals I have had on vacation and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. We also ate lunch at Sabor which is another pp charge restaurant serving interesting high quality Mexican food. It was also very very good and would recommend it as well. Try the table-side guacamole and the Red Snapper with Mango. Absolutely delicious!

Cabin Review

Great room which is well-positioned slightly aft of midship on the starboard side. Not too far to walk to get to things and nicely appointed.
