This cruise ship (and probably the whole line, for all I know) is totally clueless.

The average age on our cruise was about 70, which I'm told is pretty standard. However, the solarium lounges and those outside were about 3" off the floor! And the tables were about 6" off the floor! So, basically, if you can get down on to a chaise, you have a spot to put your drink, but you are NOT getting up without help!

And since a ship going to Alaska in June is not going to encounter the warmest temperatures, your only hope of relaxing a bit is going to take some time and ingenuity. IF you and a friend want to play a Scrabble game, good luck! The only reasonable tables and chairs can be found either in the Buffet area (where you're going to be chased as people come in constantly for food) or the Card Room, which is in an open area by the elevators - you can expect your concentration to be broken constantly by the sounds of the music and grunts and cadence being counted by the aerobics class 7 floors below!

Cabin Review

A FABULOUS room. Really. Of course a second chair would have been nice. And a table should you desire room service.
