The Good: The Studio Cabins are a fantastic idea. The studio cabins are perfect for a solo traveler. They were compact but large enough to handle your needs. The two level lounge was a perfect complement, where you had an opportunity to meet with other solos.  NCL provides a staff member to meet the studio guests each day at 5 P.M. in the private lounge. Very entertaining. The level of entertainment was the best I have seen in sailing 45 cruises. The duo-Fire & Ice were incredible. Rosie was a phenomenon. The final night they were in the showroom and she an unbelievable tribute to Tina Turner. The dance shows- Burn the Floor were superb.. , They had an excellent comedy magician, a duo Arvin & Emily and to top it off the Broadway show "Rock Of Ages." The whole staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

The Bad- the food was mundane. I came away with the impression that you had to go to the specialty restaurants to find anything inspiring. The main restaurant had no shrimp cocktail and no escargot. The onion soup was watery. The first night's special in the main dining room was MEATBALLS with some sort of sauce (not tomato). Fried Mozzarella sticks were served with slices of plain tomato (no tomato sauce). The bananas in the Bananas Foster were raw quarters - not sauteed.

If you go on the Breakaway plan on using the specialty restaurants. Try go go before the end of November when Fire & Ice completes their contract.
