This was our first cruise, and although we booked with some friends originally, they were unable to go. We chose Charleston, due to having to drop our dog off with my mom. We stayed one night with her, then drove on to Charleston, which was about 5-6 hour drive. I will try to cover every aspect of our adventure, the pros and cons, but let me say there were very little cons and the cons are only worth mentioning, for future reference and advice for first timers. I am a very thorough person and I like to nail down details much as I can, to make new experiences go smoothly.

I booked our cruise online, and will say that is the fast easy way to go, but I felt safer speaking to someone with my questions, and I had alot of them! The one thing that I asked about several times was when we were able to board the ship. The website said 3pm, and the customer service rep verified this. We were excited, eager, and wanted to get things rolling, so we planned to arrive, by 1:30. The parking was simple enough, luggage drop off was easy, then on to the gangway. By the time we got thru check it, it was about 2:30ish so we thought we were going good. Except for one detail: we hadnt ate since breakfast. We found out that lunch was served, and others had boarded as early as 11 am. Never figured that one out, but needless to say it was a LONG time til dinner! Other than that, we had no complaints! Every day was fun filled, too much to do, in one day! The food was wonderful. Took advantage of room service a couple of nights, after getting back to the room, for the night. Our room was an ocean view, it was large enough with plenty of closet space. We did not spend alot of time in the room. I was always excited to see what animal awaited me when we got it. The first day it was a dog. I was messing around and messed him up, so when we went out for dinner, my husband told our stewart, Joey and he made me another one! I kept him on the shelf under the tv. Every day I added to the zoo!

Our first stop was Nassau, and we went on a catamaran, and snorkeling. Then dis some sightseeing and shopping. Day two was Freeport, we went to Tanio Beach where we rented jer skis, has barbque lunch and enjoyed the beach and the lazy river. Best vacation we ever took. We joined in on the games, the only thing we did not participate on the ship was the casino and the spa services. Well worth the money. Cant wait to book my next one.
