The Sunshine itself.  The ships 2.0 upgrades are great, and I feel will help improve the cruise line as a whole once all the fleet is completely overhauled for these upgrades. The upgrades took away space from the cruisers, and were relocated to areas that were can not hold as many guest. For example. The areas the punchliner comedy club currently on deck 4 is not adequate space for the amount of people on board who wish to see shows. There are four or more shows each night, however having to wait 45 if not an hour in line to see the show in such a small room, that is not meant to support such a large crowd. My only suggestion is to move the Comedy shows to the liquid lounge where it can hold more. The liquid lounge itself is too small for the larger production shows. The wife and I gave on after we attend one show where it was standing room only, when we arrived 30 min early, and there was already a line, and deciding to give up on the shows all together and watch the other productions.

The Serenity area is good and was never fully packed. There were times during sea days were it was a little packed, but we were able to find two chairs within a few minutes of searching. We enjoyed the waterfall pool, however one ladders was broken for the duration of the cruise. There is only one hot tub in this area, and in my option there should be two, that stay open later than 11pm. The main pool area was good, it may need to be a little larger to accommodate more guest if the ship is only going to have one large pool on her, and it was very crowded, just as the other two general hot tubs were always full. The need for larger ones or and additional two on deck 11 would be helpful.

We ate at all most all locations that offered free lunch, did not go there for dinner. The breakfast on the Deck 3 closes at 0830 more mornings, something we were not use to coming form other ships that were open later. We had anytime dinning, however this was the first time we had to go up to deck 5 in order to go back down to deck 3. We only had to wait one evening, it was a short wait 15 min, the first night. My only conclusion about having to go up to deck 5 was there was no internet access on deck 3 or the system is still being worked on, other than that If it was done on purpose, it made no sense and needs to be like all other ships, where its walk in service, and then the hostess seats you. Our experience in the dinner room was excellent, a little slow when the staff becomes busy with multiple tables. One thing I did notice is that they were asking us if wanted any other type of drink other than water. We had to ask for tea, as this is our norm that we drink on board and at home. The food quality was exceptional, as well as portions. The only are of improvement I could see being done is not adding a sauce to the Prime rib, making it optional. And, having two ice-creams be the norm for the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake.

Cabin Review

Cabin Aft View, Oceanview

We were in cabin 2346 Deck 2 aft, picking this cabin because of its size never and our first ocean view cabin. . The room itself was great, it was spacious and was what we expected. The configuration of the bathroom changed, the toilet requires the cruiser to be half way into the shower while using. The shower is bigger and can fit two people into it with ease. For those who have not been on Breeze it is the same décor and I feel it a positive in the way of upgrades done to the cabin. Another positive was our cabin steward, Erodman was great, he was the only one we meet, but they did a fine job of taking care of our room, which was in my opinion very tide, compared to others which we walked by that were trashed. Issues that can be addressed about the cabin. This cabin it is loud when the mooring lines are needed to use to secure the ship. The issue can be addressed by adding dampers in the area where this is taking place that sounds the area. For use we herd this on the first day as we were leaving, and every morning and evening we were at port other than Belize, which was tendered. The port side aft “side propellers” are also loud, when they are being used. Lastly the location of the Bed needs to be adjust more to the center of the room vs, the window. The person who is located on the Left side of the bed next to the wall has less than a foot of space.
