I am a Platunum Crown and Anchor member with Royal Caribbean and was looking for a short getaway cruise. I booked a four day on the Vision of the Seas to Cozumel, Mexico. The ship had been through a refurb so I was anxious to see the results. The cabin was on the smaller side, but cozy. Only complaint was a huge three foot wetspot on carpet outside the bathroom door that smelled and remained for two days. It remained even after I reported it to cabin attendant. I also noticed a funky stale smell in most of the cabin corridors.

The food on the ship was good, entertainment was ok...bar service at the pools and casino was verrrrrrry slow. I noticed several employees that looked as though they hated working--- no smiles, no energy, no "Thank You's". That kinda surprised me since the staff on other ships were over the top with energy and enthusiasm and the desire to make your cruise the BEST ever. Not the usual WOW experience with Royal Caribbean. I purchased the alcohol package and that was a total rip off, since there were never any bartenders to be found!! The Park Cafe and Solarium Bar were closed for an entire day when in port. No idea why....just completely closed!! Strange to have them closed for one entire day on a four day cruise. Not a memorable cruise....will definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean again...just NEVER on the Vision of the Seas.
