Norwegian Cruise excels at virtually everything they do ... and the NCL Getaway is no exception! The reason NCL has climbed to the top of the most popular lines is their commitment to pleasing the client. Each time they make a "class" change, the design staff seriously looks at the pluses and minuses of the previous class and incorporates solutions into the new design. After sailing on the "Epic" in the aft Haven stateroom with the round bed, and dressing area complete with bathroom where the light was motion activated, we all knew that might not be quite as cool as we all thought it might be... and sometimes, the light didn't go on! It was fun, but seriously needed to be addressed. And so, when the Breakaway came out ... no more round beds ! LOL!

Norwegian Cruise Line does care about pleasing it's clients! The "Getaway" is the result of years of experience by the design staff based on the input of their cruisers! So... Now we have Carlo's bakery ( awesome baked goods from the original), Dolce Gelato (yum!) ... Ocean Blue waterfront restaurant, and a myriad of specialty restaurants including Le Bistro French, Steak (Cagneys), Moderno Churrascaria, La Cucina Italian and more. The entertainment is first class ... "Legally Blonde", the Illusionarium and "Burn the Floor" all top notch and designed to please. Mojito Bar and Ice Bar where you drink from ice glasses ... so fun! Enjoy hot tubs and waterfalls @ Spice H20 which converts to video screen dancing spot at night!

There is so much diversity on Norwegian ...everyone can enjoy their own kind of fun ! Kids' Aqua Park with slides and pools, Entourage teen club and for a different generation the Thermal Suite Spa and Salt Room ... love the heated tile beds while watching the world go by!!!
