This is the 4th P&O cruise husband and I have been on, and each time the standards have slipped. The first cruise was the final cruise for Pacific Sky, a far superior passenger experience – then the last 3 cruises over almost 3 years. In fact, on this cruise we were recognised by a few fellow passengers !

Anyway, a standard outside cabin. Orange/brown dated and looking a bit sad, but the cabin is great for storage, lots of drawers, coathangers (x12), and space under bed for suitcase to be stowed. However, the nightly ‘turn down’ is no more. At least still had sheets changed every 3 days, and excellent cabin steward, as always. But, P&O can presumably cut back on house keeping crew as the service isn’t so thorough.

Entertainment – terrible. The marquee theatre still totally inadequate in terms of the number of passengers – very poor visibility, and that was if you managed to get a seat, as the seating capacity is totally inadequate. Also, when you’ve already seen the main shows times, not worth seeing again !! - In fact, many of the passengers had given up trying to get seats and didn’t bother after the first couple of nights. Both times slots – 7:30 and 9:30 had too many people wanting to see the show, and far to few seats. Even those with no visibility – behind pillars, view blocked by railing, and just generally poor visibility were already taken well in advance of the shows commencing. The guest acts were considered by all to be a ‘mixed bag’ – not brilliant.
