This was the first cruise for all of our family group of nine. Wonderful! Seven of us flew to Miami from Indiana the day before so that we could look around as none of us had been there before. Not knowing that was Super Bowl weekend, we had a time finding a place to stay. Finally rented a car and drove to Homestead. The next morning, we drove back to Miami, walked on the beach, and checked out the port. Then, we got lost. Finally about 1:30, two of my sons dropped the rest of us off at the port and went to return the rental car. We waited over an hour (they got lost again). My son and daughter-in-law arrived from Georgia and went ahead and boarded the ship. A few minutes later my sons got back and the rest of us boarded. Boarding was very fast, perhaps 10 minutes. Everything was just beautiful. The rooms are very small but we had plenty of room for everything. Due to economy, we had 4 inside cabins. I know now why everyone isn't as big as a horse with all the eating. The corridors go on forever.

Speaking of eating, none of us had any complaint with the food. It was all just great. Most of the time we ate in the Windjammer for breakfast and lunch. Ate in the dining room every evening. Super Bowl Sunday, none of our guys ate in the dining room, they were at the Super Bowl Party. Our dining room waiter, Thomas, was perfect. He was attentive to each of us, and especially to my 6 year old grandson, Dylan. He showed him tricks and tried to get him to sing with the waiters when they all sang to the entire dining room, however, Dylan declined.

Ports: Nassau Bahamas: We didn't book any of the ship's tours, however, we got the best guide, Charlie, who took us on a two and a half hour tour for $15.00 each. Charlie was not only a terrific guide, but he was so funny. We feel we got a very good value for our money. St Thomas VI, After walking around and shopping, we took a bus to the beaches. My youngest son and daughter in law went to Megans beach, and the rest of us went to another beach. It was a very good day. San Juan PR: We just walked around the beautiful city and walked up to the fort. I think San Juan was the most beautiful port of all. I missed Labadee because I got the "cruise sickness" along with about 50 other passengers of our ship. It just lasted about 20 hours and I don't blame the cruise line. They were very zealous about cleanliness; offering hand sanitizer as we went to eat and scrubbing everything down. Sea days were wonderful as well, the swimming pools, casinos and shows offered plenty to do onboard. My son won the 50 -60s music trivia contest and my other son won quite a bit in the casino. 15 year old Ricky went to the teen club several times for 6 year old Dylan wouldn't have anything to do with adventure ocean, preferring to spend his time with us. Even so, he said that was more fun than Disney World.
