Hubby and I celebrated our 34th Wedding Anniversary with a repeat cruise on Allure of the Seas. We had a wonderful cruise on her in 2011; this trip was equally as wonderful.

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale a few days early to have some pre-cruise fun in the sun and set the mood for a very relaxing vacation. We stayed at Marriott Beach Place Resort; which is a timeshare resort. We don’t own a timeshare but somehow we were able to book a room though Marriott online. It was a nice resort, very quiet, right across the street from the beach, there’s also a CVS downstairs along with several shops, bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.

We took a trip to Miami to have dinner at Joe’s Stone Crab, we had been there on a previous trip and it was on our list of must do. We also dined at Steak 954 one night and Coconuts another night. Both were delicious, Coconuts is a relaxed attire restaurant right on the Intercostal Waterway. Steak 954 was more upscale and a bit pricy, but the food was delicious with generous portions. We will definitely return to both,

Cabin Review

Our room 8568 was ready just before 2pm. We had our luggage by 3:30 pm. The room was in the perfect location; Central Park was a short walk away, and we were just two flights down from the gym and spa. The room was quiet; we never heard our neighbors or anyone that may have been in the hallway. We had plenty of room in our cabin, plenty of storage for all that we traveled with. Our stateroom attendant, Theresa took very good care of us, we never wanted for anything.
