This was our third sailing on the Explorer, the last being about 7 years ago. While still a very nice looking ship, it is showing its age and is in real need of the overhaul it's receiving next year.

We were in a cabin on deck 8, outside with a balcony. The room is a bit faded and dated ( old box tv, no internet in the room) and the balcony is in pretty rough shape, rusty and unappealing.

Still, the room was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, nice shower with bump out doors so it's roomy. No amenities at all, just a bar of soap. Read more
