There must have been over a thousand kids on the boat from infant on up. All kids sailed for free, why not ? Some families had three or more. I don't know how they fit in the cabin. There were strollers and kids running around all over the place. Diapers were being changed poolside, really nice. Many cruise regulars were very upset that Norwegian did not notify them it would be a kiddie cruise so they could change the cruise date. The MDR meals were mediocre at best, just above Diner Food. The first night they sat us in the Manhattan Room right above the ships propellers. We could feel the vibrations up our legs. Our meal was terrible, but being first time cruisers, we weren't savvy enough to send it back. The Italian & Japanese restaurants were great. Geoffrey Zakarians restaurant cost $50 extra each and was not very good and we left hungry. I ordered Dover Sole and it was served floating in a pond of flavored oil. The calamari were served with a mayonnaise dipping sauce. The dough in the desert tart was not fully cooked and the fruit sauce ran out like an under-cooked egg when cut. Geoffrey would never have won Iron Chef with this meal. Did I mention kids were running around the Italian Restaurant dancing and yelling as their French Canadian parents cheered them on. There were people with strollers in the night clubs at 1 AM. Kids were sitting on bar stools with their heads asleep on the bar. Did I mention it was $4.50 for a bottle of water? We spent about $90. The cheapest bingo package was $30 for 3 cards for 3 games. Rock of Ages stunk just like the movie. It was overly loud punk rock. Dueling piano's was great as was the Circus Show which included a great meal was also very good. The Magician was good but was restricted on what he could say because of all the kids at the late show. The breakfast & lunch buffets were very good, better than the food in the Main Dinning Rooms. The ship was immacutelly clean and our cabin attendant was great.

The air boat excursion & alligator farm were great as was the eco boat tour on the private island. The bus tour around Nassau was terrible and a big waste of money. We saw nothing and only got within one mile of the Atlantis. The Driver was jockeying for tips the entire time. The A/C didn't work very well and the bus was very small and un comfortable. Once you get away from the shopping district, Nassau is just another dirty third world country. We wanted to take the tour of the Breakaway, but it was $70 per person.

All in all, it is a beautiful ship and the crew is very friendly. The lounge entertainment is also very good. The drinks are reasonably priced by NYC standards and were very good. Next year we're going to try Bermuda and hopefully it won't turn out to be a Disney Cruise. One last thing, just make sure there are no "kids free" promotions before you sail.
