Sail Date: May 2014

After reading reviews i was a bit concerned about sailing on the Grand May 18-25 to Alaska. I must say those negative reviews are surely only a matter of opinion. We had a balcony cabin on the Baja deck (B711) very quiet location and superb steward named Christian. The ship was in great shape for its age-as far as old carpet and rust that others spoke about-- I did not see it and the only place i noticed rust was around some of the pool areas. Granted the rooms are not the newest but they were comfy and clean-if you want new-pay the prices for the brand new ships.

Food was wonderful-if you don't like something you can order another entree, go to buffet, pizza place or even the grill for a burger but no need to feel like you will starve because people say the food is bad!

Entertainment consisted of Princess dancers, an illusionist and comedian-all of which kept us entertained. Elevators might be a bit busy but you can always take the steps for exercise.Of course you are going to have people who complain no matter what so you just have to smile and keep going but we had a wonderful time, great weather except for Ketchikan and did not let negative people ruin our trip!

Cabin Review
