As fairly regular cruisers on smaller RCL and Celebrity vessels we thought we would give the Freedom class a try for a change. To make it worth our while travelling out from the UK, we booked back to back cruises, the eastbound Transatlantic, proceeded by the eastern Caribbean. Although we fully enjoyed the experience on the larger vessel, we will be sticking with slightly smaller ships in the future as our personal preference.

We flew BA World traveller Plus from Gatwick to Orlando and then drove down to Fort Lauderdale the following day. (This allowed for a bit more room on the flight and the extra inclusive baggage allowance)

We stopped over in Orlando for one night and again took one night in Fort Lauderdale after a sedate drive down the toll road to Lauderdale.
