Aurora is a medium-sized ship with a walk around prom deck and a horseshoe shaped back - very popular with many stalwart cruisers. What a pity that economic pressures dictate that some cruise lines, P&O included, must move to larger ships which is what many of us don't want!

Having been on Oriana only 2 weeks before this cruise, comparison is inevitable and, unfortunately, because she is due for her refit later this year, at the moment we would say we much preferred the interior of Oriana to Aurora.

Our dining room was the Alexandria and this was pleasant enough. The Orangery always seemed busy and it was quite chilly sitting in there. When the doors opened to the deck outside then it was very draughty. Perhaps something could be done about this on the refit? Occasionally they ran out of mugs and teaspoons and it was often necessary to queue, particularly one night when it was a Best of British carvery.
