Well, Getaway and staff, you stole our hearts. We had a great time sailing on this ship and plan to sail again. We were in the first group to board, and were able to get on and into our room right away. Our balcony stateroom was just perfect, with plenty of room for all of our belongings and not 'snug' like some staterooms on other cruise ships. The bed was so comfortable, I have never slept better, honestly. At my own house I wake up nearly every night, not on the Getaway, it was incredibly comfortable.

The staff was uber fantastic. They went above and beyond what I had expected. From contests, to games to special requests, they were amazing and fun. A special shout out to Sinan, the cruise director, who made this cruise so much more memorable and fun just by being 'Sinan.' His recreation staff was fantastic. Each and every one of them had a great sense of humor and really mingled with the cruisers in all of their daily events. Each night was a different theme at Spice H2O (ie 70s, 80s, Glow Party), all were so much fun, with the staff dressed in themewear, dancing and mingling with the guests.

We enjoyed the buffet, the food was great with a few changes here and there throughout the week. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at O'Sheehans, even just to have a drink and watch the shows in the atrium. I posted a few videos on YouTube (just search Norwegian Getaway March 29 to find them) showing how awesome they treat you during embarkation, as well as videos of the staff dressed as Beyonce on stage. Hilarious. We can't wait til we cruise again, NCL does it right!
